We usually have several compassion projects running. Here’s what’s happening and how you can get involved.

Growkids

Growkids provides good quality new or second-hand clothing and equipment for babies and children (up to the age of 12 years) completely free of charge. We are open at the following times at Gateway Vineyard Church Offices, Trowse Sports Hall, The Street, Trowse, NR14 8SP.

Mondays 10.30 am – 12.30pm

Wednesdays 10:30 am – 12:30 pm

Turn left at the River Green Restaurant onto The Street. Follow the road and turn right onto Hudson Avenue (signposted Trowse Sports Hall). Turn right at the paved mini-roundabout and drive towards the sports hall. Car parking is available on the left or right, through the gates. Look out for the chalkboard Growkids sign and come in through the frosted glass double doors.

Hope into Action

Hope into Action provide homes for the most vulnerable in society in partnership with local churches. Gateway provide a support team for one of these houses. To find out more about the work of Hope Into Action, take a look at their website.

THE BEREAVEMENT JOURNEY

The Bereavement Journey is run over 6 sessions, and is for anyone who has been bereaved at any time and in any way. By means of a series of short videos and small groups for discussion, it gently guides bereaved people through the most common aspects of grief.

People who attend the course value being in a group with other people who understand what it is to be bereaved.

One participant said “Talking about my bereavement has really helped me come to terms with my loss and deal with my emotions.”

The next Bereavement Journey will be starting on Friday 3rd March. There are 5 weekly sessions until 31st March, then a 6th optional session on questions of faith that arise in bereavement on Friday 14th April.

All sessions are at The Chapel from 2.00 -4.00 p.m. (arrive from 1.45 for tea and coffee).

Jesus encourages us to feed those who are hungry and to give clothes to those in need, telling us that whenever we do this, we are doing it for Him.
