In Spring 2025, we held a ‘Freedom in Christ’ course at Gateway. Here is what some of the participants have shared about it….
“The course has been so inspirational to me. I feel free from many things and realise that I am what I am in God’s eyes and nothing more or less. I feel set free from many mistaken beliefs, such as having to “do” rather than “be” and am worthy in my own right and have more value than I realised. I feel that I have made a breakthrough and nothing can remove it. The course consists of 10 weekly sessions, where different areas are explored. It is really worth doing! ” {Karen}

“Through the Freedom in Christ course, I was given the opportunity to truly absorb the truth about who I am in Christ and to begin to gain a deeper understanding of where the lies I had believed about myself had come through. The timing of the course was perfect, as I felt ready to address some deep hurts from the past that I felt were holding me back. I wanted to process these with God and through the Freedom in Christ ‘steps to freedom’ that was the focus of the away day, the Holy Spirit led me on a journey of heartfelt forgiveness.
God is so kind and gentle and wants to see us completely free. While the course required group discussion, it felt like a really safe space to share as much or as little as I wanted to and the deep work that was done really was just between me and God. The course has given me tools to keep pursuing more and more freedom. ‘Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom’ – I believe God wants that for us all, we just need to be willing to actively pursue it!”
