Children and Youth

Children and young people are important to us. We aim to create an environment which is safe, fun and nurtures their relationships with each other and Jesus. We want to see them reach their potential and be part of unlocking their destiny.

Connect with Jesus

At Gateway Vineyard we believe children and young people are loved and valued by God. We meet together every Sunday morning and in different ways within the week. Our vision is that they would know who God has made them to be and to connect with Jesus as their friend and King as they grow up. Becci Bell is our Kids Pastor and Lauren Fearn is our Youth Pastor, leading teams of volunteers across the sites.

As a church, we prioritise safeguarding, not just as a legal requirement, but as an extension of the value Jesus placed on caring for children (Matthew 18) and vulnerable adults. We have a team approach, including a safeguarding lead, deputies, administrators and a named Trustee who oversee the safer recruitment and training of all staff and volunteers working with children, young people and vulnerable adults, as well as the management of safeguarding across our sites and groups, according to our safeguarding policy.

Sunday Morning Groups

Kids – We have a children’s programme called Planet Kids for children in primary and pre-school ages at both of our Sunday morning sites.

Youth – Sunday mornings the youth meet in the youth rooms at both Central and the Chapel sites. We catch up on our weeks, learn from the Bible and pray together.
